These B&M neutral/reverse safety switches are the perfect safety devices for your vehicle.  They will only allow the vehicle to start when in park or neutral, not while in gear.  You can imagine the safety hazard presented if the vehicle was to start in gear.  They can also be used to turn on your backup lights when your vehicle is in reverse.
