CVR starters are equipped with a Nipondenso motor with a gear ratio of 4:1 (others are 3.1) and are 40% lighter than OEM (standard - 10.0 lbs.).  This means more cranking RPM, less strain on the starter motor, and a higher life expectancy.  CVR's new innovative mounting plates, which have 5 to 18 adjustment positions (except #1337) eliminate clearance problems with headers and aftermarket oil pans.  These units are completely sealed with rubber "O" rings and the solenoid is encased in a heat-resistant aluminum housing for those close-header applications.
